Music

Music has been in my life since I can remember listening to my parent's Beatles records and Michael Jackson's Thiller album. My love of music turned into a DJ career that began around age 18. In college I starting doing massive raves and underground parties in the South, played in New Orleans, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City and all over Austin. After the cops shut the drug infested parties down I joined a band. We gigged a lot around Austin and recorded some songs. In 2003 I moved to NYC where I've djed all over the city and in the place I call home, Brooklyn, NY. I love to mix eclectic sets of soul, reggae, funk, dancehall, dub, old school hip hop, 90's rnb, heady electronic and indie/dance music.

I also enjoy making music. Last year we released a 10 track album called Green Streets. My current project is called My M.O. and we sing, produce record and now perform a strange mixture of indie, pop, r&b and electronic music.

Green Streets

Mike Genato and I collaborated on this 10 track album. The inspiration for this project varies from Radiohead to Berlin artist, Apparat, Portishead, dub and soul music, film soundtracks and old-school production techniques. The music is hard to define because each song has elements of hip-hop, R&B, rock, soul, funk, and jazz. Some of the songs use loops and samples but the initial ideas started by sitting down at a keyboard and working off interesting chord progressions.
